After building my Polymer 80, I was curious how economical the build was compared to starting with a Glock frame. I took my Polymer 80 build and researched the parts required to emulate it on a Glock frame. In the table below, I've included two paths: Starting with a complete Glock and Starting with a stripped frame. As you can see, the ultimate costs are close, within 75 dollars total. The complete Glock does ultimately come in cheaper, because of a credit you would receive after selling your stock slide. Of course, this requires more work and headache, but I wanted to make sure the comparison was fair.
